Abstract, e-Poster, and Oral Presentation Jakarta Neurology Exhibition, Workshop, and Symposium 10 : Transforming Evolutionary Neuroscience (TEN) December 21st, 2022 - March 11th, 2023
General Informations
Abstracts must be submitted online via JakNews’s website only. Submission by fax, post or email will not be considered.
Abstract must be received by the announced deadline. Abstract received after the deadline will not be considered.
Presenting authors must be registered participant. Only abstract of authors who have paid their registration fees will be processed and included for publication.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract
For presenters who have not paid the registration fee by January 15, 2023, at 23:59 WIB, the abstract will not be processed further.
The accepted abstract will be published in the JakNews 10 proceeding book. The publication rights belong to JakNews 10 committee.
Participants are required to adhere to our submission guideline and other announcements published on JakNews’ website.
The final decision for abstract acceptance is determined by the committee and is absolute and cannot be contested.
The competition consists of three stage which include abstract submission, E-Poster submission, and oral presentation. Each stage has guideline and deadline as described on JakNews’s website.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstract themes can be drawn from all branches of knowledge in Neurology and can be in the form of research or case reports.
Abstract should contain an original material not published at the time of submission.
Every first letter in the abstract title is written in capital letters, for example: "The Effect of Hyponatremia on the Outcome of Tuberculosis Meningitis".
The full abstract text must be more than 100 words but must not exceed 500 words.
All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text. e.g: Modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Do not define abbreviations in the title.
Use generic drug names.
Tables, charts or other graphics are not allowed
Speakers are asked to declare the conflicts of interest by filling in the form and sending it to the committee along with the abstract
The JakNews 10 committee is allowed to administer minor edits without changing the original content.
The author who will present must ensure that all co-authors have approved the contents and its submission to JakNews 10 before the submission.
Abstracts are required to be submitted between December 21st, 2022 to January 15th, 2023 at 23.59 WIB (GMT+7)
Participants whose abstract is accepted must submit the required E-Poster to go through the next stage of selection process.
E-Poster Submission
E-Poster is the digital version of poster containing the summary of research article or case report submitted.
E-Poster is written in English.
E-Poster should be made in a single page, with portrait orientation and size 1080 x 1920. Participants are encouraged to create E-Poster with an engaging design and readable text that is still relevant to an ethical standard.
E-Poster of the research article must be organized systematically into the following parts: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussions, Conclusions, and Bibliography.
E-Poster of the case report must be organized systematically into the following parts: Title, Introduction, Case Report, Discussions, Conclusions, and Bibliography.
E-Poster submission should be made in two versions: One version contains authors’ names and affiliations while the other version is anonymous.
File format: PDF (other formats will not be accepted)
Submitted file should not exceed 10 MB.
Please upload the two E-Posters by January 31st, 2023, 23.59 WIB (GMT+7). Submissions later than the deadline given will be considered as disqualified.
Oral Presentation
Five participants with the highest E-Poster points from each category (case report and research) would advance to Oral Presentation.
Oral presentation will be scheduled on March 2nd, 2023 virtually and presenters are required to adhere to the scheduled time.
Video presentation and Q&A session will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia.
The duration of the video presentation is between 3-5 minutes, followed by Q&A session for 10 minutes.
Each participant will be evaluated by 3 judges based on criteria that have been predetermined by the committee.
Voting will be conducted in a Zoom meeting to determine the most favourite participant. The first, second, and third winners from each category will be announced in the closing ceremony of JakNews 10.
